Days of Our Lives

A hello

(S i g h .......)
I literally did just let out a big sigh as I sat down to type. It feels nice been able to pause and take some big breaths. This last week has been intense, weather wise it was the hottest week all year with some 35 degree days in there so it made moving heavy furniture fun. Thank you to all that helped with cleaning or babysitting, or muscle power.  Now that the move is done, the contracts all final and all our gear has pretty much found a place in the new house, I can allow my shoulders to drop and my lungs return to taking in some big gulps instead of the panic, stressed, little ones I've been living off since returning from camping.

The new house is perfect. The first night I lay in bed listening to "Moreporks" call each other across the valley. It is the most peaceful sound. It reminded me of my Grandparents old house on Scott Road. Did you know that a group of owls is called a parliament? I learnt that from my Christmas cracker this year and it put a smile on my face as I realised I was lying in bed, listening to a Parliament in full session. It certainly is an improvement to the sound of traffic we would hear from our old bedroom window.

I'll post photos of the inside of house later, but for now this is us, in our new home. I don't miss the old place like I thought I would, probably because I am so smitten with this one and how I see us been here for a very long time. It really is perfect and it's pretty wonderful starting off the new year with a fresh canvas. Sigh with me, breath deep... feel that? It's a change of scenery and it's as good for the body as  a holiday.

  1. Love it Anna! It looks amazing. I am currently in that panicked, stressed out state. We move in two days and there is oh so much to do! But I am so looking forward to coming to visit you in your new place! xx
