Nathan has the most beautiful curls. They are as beautiful as Lucy's were when she was this age. The difference being that with Lucy I could use pretty clips and headbands to keep them back off her face when they grew. You can't do that with little boys. (Well you can, I should rephrase that, I would not be allowed to do that with this boy. )
I had done a few little snips myself but he was a hard one to keep still. So with me teaching all week Marcus took it upon himself to take Nate off for his first haircut. Apparently he was a dream, sitting there staring and making faces at himself in the mirror.
The hairdresser was sweet putting a lock of his hair in a little keepsake packet. So here are the after shots. Check out his new styles.
I dread the first haircut because it always, always makes them look older.
Nathan, my last baby no longer looks like that. Combined with the fact that he is well and truly walking I am faced with the reality that we no longer have a baby in the house. I went to the supermarket with all 3 kids this afternoon and pulled in, then reversed from the mother and baby park. A glimpse in my rear vision mirror of Nate in his car seat made me realise that it wasn't really fair for me to take up that park anymore. The seasons are a changing in more ways than one.
gasp! noooooo~~~
ReplyDelete(oh dear, Danny hasn't had a haircut EVER besides a trim around the face. it probably makes Marcus awfully uncomfortable, does it? haha, sorry!!)
