bunks and a sleepover

This is Lucy and her bestie from Kindergarten, Ruby. Ruby's dad got a job in Sydney and they are moving to Australia in a week. We had her family around for a farewell dinner which ended with Ruby having her first ever sleep over at a friends house. It was all very exciting as we have just put the bunks up again in Oliver's room in a bid to make some room so the 'spare' room can become a baby room once more.

Isn't Ruby a stunner? Talk about your movie star looks. Lucy on the other hand does bed hair so well. Look at that rockin fringe. Takes after her Mamma for sure.

and not sure who is going to miss Ruby the most. Lucy or Olli who seems to have the biggest crush on her. He follows her around like a puppy. He has been walking around the house this afternoon with an old plane ticket Marcus gave him. He informs us all he is off to Australia with Ruby and then asks "you miss me?" Which is what he asks me each time I pick him up from Kindy. Cute!

You're on to a winner there Ruby.

So this is the bunks back up and these were taken at, wait for it.....4.50am. After hearing them awake and playing for about 1/2 an hour I finally gave up and got out of bed to join them. Yep, a very early start in our house this morning.

And Oliver has a new place to run and hide from me when he knows he's been naughty. It doesn't take a scientist to work out that me and my pregnant frame can't make it up that ladder very easily. It also means it might be a while before that top bunk gets made beyond a pulling up of the covers.
