Thanksgiving

It is no coincident that Nathan was born on Thanksgiving day. I shared at church this morning when we got him dedicated that it has served as a gentle reminder to us to give thanks in all things. To see the blessings in the trials. We are so thankful for this year in so many ways, and as we celebrate Nathan turning one, we can't help but burst with thankfulness for this little bundle of joy. (Even if his butt shuffling is costing me a fortune in shorts.)

We spent the day giving thanks and vowing to honour the one who gives us life. We dedicated Nathan at Church which was pretty special. Oliver, so excited to be on stage, stole the show slightly.

Then we had a thanksgiving feast at the Robinsons. They and the Palmers are Nate's Godparents. It was an awesome afternoon and yellow the feature of the day.

Jars of honey - produce from the first harvest from our beehives, we drizzled this over dessert.

Oliver just loved having older boys around. Thank you Robinson boys for being so obliging and patient.

Ryan doing his bit for MOVEMBER.

In real Amercian style the men retreated to the cigar room to watch the football.  Love how Alex is one of the "men" now.

It looks dreamy, becasue it was. Such an awesome way to spend a thanksgiving Sunday. It's not a traditional holiday we celebrate in NZ but I think for us, this will be an annual event.
