End of an era

This is Nate with my Midwife Paula. We had our 6 week and very last visit with her on Thursday. She has been our midwife with all three of our kiddos and sitting with her in her office, having a cup of tea as we filled out the last of the paperwork it was sad. The end of an era. While I like to say never say never, Marcus is booked in for the chop in a few weeks and he's pretty sure never is a good word to use when referring to another Smith baby.

They - the midwives play a pretty special role, Paula has seen me at my most vulnerable, and has been a rock of support and encouragement. She has seen me go from a young woman to a first time mum, then 2nd time and now a veteran. Thanks Paula. Hastings is a pretty small place so I'll no doubt bump into you but I'll miss our appointments. x
