The responsibility of raising our three little kids weighs heavy on me most days. I love what my friend Dee says about not raising boys and girls but raising adults. Are we modeling the type of woman, wife, mother, man, husband father that we want our children to be? Weighs heavy huh?
But then there are other times when I watch them, these three little ones and I am smacked with the pure joy of childhood.
Here are some of my favourite childhood moments snapped this month.
Rumbles with Sam ultimately end with Oliver been pinned every time. These two have a love/hate relationship. Pretty sure Sam sees himself above Olli in the pecking order of the family. Below Lucy, but above Oliver. He'll give Olli a nip if the rumbles get too rough, there will be tears but this boy has a 3 second memory because he'll go right back for more. Rumbles, giggles, giggles, tears. Repeat x4 daily.
Here she is, our little princess happy to finally find a flower that her mum will let her pick. She is growing way too fast.
These two, Our friends youngest Hudson and Nate watching the Olympics and perhaps thinking one day they could do the rings. Easy peasy.
I love these photos. Marcus and I have started putting together a family cook book of all our favourites. I think these photos might be the cover.
Nathan does this gorgeous thing when smiled at. He cocks his head to the side and smiles all coy. Hope he never outgrows this.
Look at him showing off those teeth. And yes, he does wear a bib all the time as you may have noticed in almost all the photos I have of Nate. I've never seen a baby dribble as much as him, or do little upchucks regularly throughout the day. The bibs are to save me changing his tops half hourly. Unlike the coy head turn, this is a trait I would like him to outgrow eventually.

Gorgeous pics x
ReplyDeleteScrumptious scrumptious photos Anna. I hear you on the whole bib thing. Riley was like that for ages as well. Constant dribble and spews.
ReplyDeleteAnna, I've just been reading through your last few blog posts after having discovered your musings. You are inspiring, and I feel very blessed to have partaken to some small degree in your life. You DO have a beautiful family! God bless you! Tehila
