At University Marcus had a part time job at a pizza joint. Not the pizza Hut or Domino variety but a proper wood fire oven place affectionately known as 'The Tote." He loved it and has been wanting to make his own pizza oven ever since.
So this was a dream that had been 15 years in the making, and he finally has had the time to do it.

He finished it yesterday and we tried out cooking something in it last night. Unfortunately it wasn't pizza as we were all out of ingredients but this bread was just as good. A loaf was made for the neighbours too who popped their heads over the fence to see what all the fun was about.
We also had the cousins around for a play date yesterday. So lovely seeing these guys hang out and been such good friends. Oliver was playing too but had the unfortunate experience of riding up front while the girls all pushed him forward to fit on. He is still complaining about how squished his willy got, so we aren't expecting Olympic Equestrian out of this one.

Today it is back to rain which is a shock after the hint of summer we got yesterday. Looking forward to summer and many more pizza nights under the stars.
DUUUUDE!!! haha, i had to show JR this one. we've been scheming and designing and planning our pizza oven for the last 9 weeks while we've been up here! can't wait to get home and make one.

Dee, make sure you make a nice big one. Marcus' big regret is that you can only really cook one pizza at a time. Still it's given him reason to have another crack at making another. Glad you've got some projects to look forward to doing when you get back. I can imagine that you'll need some big incentive to leave the far north. :)
