Days of Our Lives

grow it, brush it, mo it.

Had a little scare at the midwife's this morning. She seemed to think baby might come early this time around. This scared me for two reasons.

1. Although I know the baby is arriving before Christmas, I've been in a bit of a denial of it actually been a reality, 26th November (official due date) has, and still seems along way off.

2. The second reason is because this November Marcus decided to participate in Movember http://nz.movember.com/ an event that involves growing a moustache for the month of November to raise money for prostate cancer.
He has attempted to grow a moustache before, years ago and it was a hideous thing, like creepy paedophile hideous. Since then I have enjoyed his clean shaven look. This time around to avoid the paedophile look, or a slightly french look (the french gave him way too much of a fright in the Rugby World cup final against the All Blacks for him to be over it yet.) He has gone the whole hog. I'm talking, white trash, biker gang, mullet growing pork chops. See for yourself.

So you see my dilemma. I do not want this baby arriving in November and this been one of the first faces it sees. It's Dad, a throw back from the 80's,

Just think of it's first baby photos. Arghh. Come on baby you can do it. Sit tight at least until the 1st December, The sight of your handsome clean shaven Dad will be worth the wait. Trust me on this one.

  1. Nice. Just remember that your baby will not recall anything, and there will be no repressed memories to worry about or nightmares. Just old pictures to look back on and say, "Dad, what were you thinking?!"

  2. haha I reckon early and fast too Anna! Thirds are totally unpredictable. Just Inform Marcus that when baby comes, this signals the end of Movember in the Smith household. He can shave at the first twinges!!!
