Days of Our Lives

The sun will come out...

I don't normally like to talk about the weather. I actually used to hassle Dad as a teenager when he would call up his Mum (My Gran) and always the first 5 minutes of the conversation would be about the weather.  It would baffle me. "REALLY?, is your life so dull that you have to resort to discussing the weather?"

Maybe it's an age thing because here I am, about to dedicate a whole blog post to the subject.

It is February and I have been swimming in a pool just once. Haven't swam in the ocean at all. Have worn a summer dress just once that I brought on the presumption that I would be living in it from Christmas till March. We haven't even had a BBQ at our place this year and summer technically has only a few weeks left. As I type I actually have washing hanging inside like a Chinese laundry. A sight that I usually only associate with winter and a roaring fire. I've hung it inside because after checking the forecast for tomorrow and seeing the above predictions for the rest of the week, I realise it has little chance of drying on the line. It even looks to be rain on Art Deco weekend which will be tragic as most of the events are all out doors.

On the plus side look at our lawn which by now is usually brown and dead.

Come on summer. We are ready and waiting for you to arrive...
