Art Deco Weekend
Napier's annual Art Deco week. Do we love it? Oh yes we do. This year my parents made it down from Hamilton as well as our good friends Dave and Vikki Porter and their boys. After a week of rain, the sun put on a stunning show. It was hot and I'd hired my Dad a full Air force uniform from the 1930's made of wool. When I said he should take his coat off he told me "I'm alright, I don't perspire Anna." And you know what, he looked so cool, calm and handsome in that uniform that I think he was right. Mum and I on the other hand got huge blisters from our shoes and ended up barefoot by mid morning. I also got rid of my hat pretty soon too as it was a tad tight and I was getting the killer headache. But yet again, Art Deco was one of my most favourite days of the year. Enjoy the pics.
