A Farewell

After 2 and a half years of watching people graduate from her kindergarten, Lucy had been planning this day for a while. She had turned 5 and her day had come to be the centre of attention and be the one that "happy school day to you" was sung to.

Her Nana Raeanne had made 30 amazing cupcakes to hand out to everyone. Nana Rose and Grandad Bryan had brought her a pinata to bust open. Apparently this is a German tradition but the pinata is a carrot.  (Help me out here Cosima and Linda, is this true?)

She doesn't know it yet but she is going to miss this place. The days of free play and teachers been on hand to cut up her apples have ended. Just as well I'm not saying goodbye to all the wonderful staff yet. I get to see them on Monday when I drop Oliver off. Yay!
