The kids went shopping for their Dad in the $2.00 shop because lets be real, everything Marcus has ever wanted can be found there. :) Lucy brought him a toy gun for shooting toy ducks and Oliver brought him a pirate hook and eye patch. Even though they wrapped them up for Marcus and understood it was Dad's birthday not theirs it didn't stop Oliver
Lucy decorated the cake before going on her second and last school visit before starting school for real in a week. Marcus came with me to drop her off and as we watched her run off sporting her new school uniform and tiny brand spanking new little roman sandals we kept exchanging looks of can't believe our baby is starting school, where have the last 5 years gone? - you know all the cliches. We've said them all.
Later our wonderful friends and neighbours came around to share with us in a fish and chip dinner and partake in the party festivities. The cake of course and then an attempt at the flour game. That game needs some practicing is all I'm going to say.
Well babe, another year done and dusted. Something tells me you'll remember this year as the start of something great.
Awesome! I remember the flour game! Happy Birthday Marcus! (By the way Oliver gave us a very welcoming "HELLO NOAH!" as we came into kindy yesterday - he is so friendly)
